After I resume from hibernation, if I don't move the mouse or do
something on my Acer C300 then it will go back into hibernation in just
about a minute. This means I have to sit there waiting for it to wake up
and move the mouse rather than just turn it on and go do something else
for a couple of minutes. If I just stop paying attention for a bit while
getting my books out of my bag the darn thing will go back into
hibernation. It is really frustrating to have to turn my tablet back on
several times in a row just because I got distracted.
I have my tablet set to never standby or hibernate while plugged in and
to standby after 10 minutes and hibernate after 30 while on battery.
Well, the problem happens whether I am plugged in or not. Plus it skips
right over standby and goes straight to hibernation.
Now that I think about it I had a similar problem before where it would
just hibernate at random even in the middle of using it. And, no, the
"solution" is not to just turn off hibernation since I depend on it so
heavily. Besides, this is touted by Microsoft as one of the important
features that enables Tablet PC's to be so mobile.
So, does anyone have any suggestions other than turning off hibernation
or rebuilding my entire PC and hoping it does something other than waste
my time.
