I am going to do some quick reading before installing Windows 7 .. I have
several choices to choose from as my husband is a 'geek' and he bought some
license/software package that gives him several installs of Windows 7 along
with other Microsoft
programs having to do with networking mostly .. I could ask him my
questions, but then eventually it would come down to him asking me "how many
tablets do you have?" I am just trying to avoid that.. know what I mean
???? With that package he gets just one install of Ultimate 32 bit and one
Ultimate 64 bit.

Any way ... I love writing with Win 7 but on my Lenovo the pen didn't seem
to perform as well as it did on my HP tablet [62 bit Windows Ultimate.]
And not as well as it did when I had Vista installed. Makes me wonder if it
has to do with 64 bit compared to 32 bit .. I think I read that Lenovo
recommends 32 bit for tablet .. or that there were no 64 bit drivers. ..
Hope someone has the answer just in case I can't find that on line again.

One other thing. It seems someone said that their tablet performed better
with Win 7 installed as an upgrade rather than a new install. Any thoughts
there ??

Bought an Asus R1F Jan. 2007, came with XP Tablet, free upgrade to Vista 32
but, wanted and bought Vista 64 bit and Asus abandoned 64 bit after they
said they would support it. 5 devices unusable. When Windows 7 came out,
installed 64 bit ultimate and everything works like a dream. Any vendor that
doesn't write drivers for 64 bit should crank up their model T and RCA
victrola.

features have generated excitement, especially in the area of multitouc
